Afghans

One theory... Maybe after 10 years of the Russian war in Afghanistan and then 20 years of the American nato war in Afghanistan, the Afghanistan "army" just couldn't cope with any more war and dying and misery. Even though they and the civilian population dread the religious Taliban zealots with their war against women and progress.

And afterall , they don't have the military industrial complex to feed with a defense industry that supplies it. Nor a large boardroom of bloodthirsty war profiteers managing congress all seen together as a vested interest which influences public policy. Maybe.
